Here are my two LG40 Recoiless Guns. Turned out quite well, largely thanks to Martin’s airbrush. Must get myself one of those. Had trouble working out the crew since they were just chucked in with everything else. Some of these could be FlaK38 crew but I don’t really think it matters.

They look very nice!
I like your static grass… less is more.
Could have inked thefaces a bit darker but I do realise this is a flash shot on the camera.
YEah Airbrush rocks. such a thin coat really allows ink washing etc come up better.
I like the grey base edge. I did it to save a step in finishing… but is does loog good and tends not to chip either.
Final thin to do is buy some self adhesive felt dots. The brown ones that go on the bottom of teracotta vases when you place them on class shelfs.
You get tehm at spot light. The allow your trooops to not slide down terrain hills made of polarfleece blanket.
Wonderful … truley wonderful
Actually I think that guy you’re probably referring to (hands to his ears) with the ‘lightly’ washed face is an exception to the rule or maybe just light reflection. The faces are all inked fairly well.
True should probably get a bunch of felt dots. Need to mark them into platoons, varnish etc too.
