The following is what I have been working on over the last few evenings in preparation for the games weekend in Invercargill in a weeks time. Apologies for the poor quality image and lighting. A number of the models are unbased simply because that takes time and my focus is on getting them painted first. Also there is a glossy look to them as in the photos they’ve just been overcoated in matt varnish which is still wet. (I had taken the photos prior to the clear coat but hadn’t used a tripod and they’d come out a bit blurry). Lastly included are some Skaven weapons teams which I’ve not photographed properly yet but thought I would add them here whilst I had the camera out.

Wow that is some very nice work.. and in just a few nights no less…
I must admit Clan Pestilian does make me want to puke. As compared to Night goblins.. well what is there not to like about night goblins.. thier so cute!.. well Gremlins were cute until untill I feed them after midnight.
Actually… Nurgle makes me puke, clan pestilian gives me nausia. Night goblins are spooky but like dwarf clowns spooky. Orcs.. are just a scarier version of Lizardmen with a better sense of humour.
Lizardmen are like the Palidans of WHF… but bretonians look more like Paladins.. yeah?
Yeah not bad, look better in person (or uhm in figurine). Frustrates me how rubbish I am at photographing these things, but you get the idea, I did some work.
Lets face it all the greenskin stuff is whacky and comical, they’re hard to take seriously which adds to the fun. I find it difficult sometimes to imagine them as truly sinister or scary, unlike most of the other races.
Surely Lizardman are what they are in the book, ancient and unfathomable. Unlike the other races which are governed by easily defined drivers Lizardmen are mysterious almost alien like. Hard to categorise and hard to predict. They oppose chaos which is about the only thing you can single them out on.
