As with James I purchased this Skaven Warlock for Tommy when I was in Wellington at some point for a course. The opportunity to shop at a Games Workshop store which stocked like more than 10 things was quite appealing. Anyway again as with James this is Tommy’s first Warhammer figure. It’s probably not that flattering a photo (both this figure and the orc boar boy for James were finished with a gloss varnish since I figured they’d get handled a lot). It’s quite a detailed figure though it isn’t particularly apparent from this shot.
Orc Boar Boy
I bought and painted this figure for my eldest son James who is eight. He really likes Orcs (not goblins, just orcs) which is useful because thats an army I collect and play. I painted this figure much quicker than I usually paint and it probably shows a bit in the lack of detail. Still it’s a nice clean job though this perhaps isn’t the best angle to view the model.
Savage Orc Shaman
Well here is my only spell caster for my Orc & Goblins. He’s a savage orc because at the time of purchase that’s the only spell casting orc / goblin they had in the shop. The paint scheme is Games Workshop (like most of my figures) and I wouldn’t say I’m particularly fond of it. Probably one of the better parts is the snake wrapped around his arm which you can’t even see in this photo.
