Treekin (1)

Here is the first of the three Treekin I painted ealier in the year.  I think personally they look better in real life than in the photo.

This was primed black, a slightly slapdash base coat of bestial brown (left patches of black in a number of the more hard to reach recesses.  I washed it with black ink and then drybrused several layers of graveyard earth and kommando khaki over the top.  There are little patches of green lightly drybrushed on various patches of the branch, not just because I was copying GW but because it makes the wood look older.  The mossy patches I think if I recall correctly were dark angels green washed with green and black ink and then highlighted with snot green and white mix.  This is the only brown one and I think it looks the best of the three.
